The 9th Annual IMAGES Retail Awards will recognise and honour India's leading retailers across all key consumption categories. The awards will acknowledge the strides made in retail expansion and innovation, and creation of new concepts during the year 2011-12. The IMAGES Retail Awards will be presented on the evening of October 11, 2012 at The Renaissance in Mumbai.

Awards 1 to 17 are open to retailers with a minimum 12 months of operation as on March 31, 2012. Eligibility for all categories includes mono-brand and multi-brand retailers whose primary offering is within that category. Period of assessment: Fiscal 2011-12.   1. Most Admired Retailer of the Year – Fashion
    Retailer of fashion clothing and/ or footwear. Download Form 
  2. Most Admired Retailer of the year: Fashion Accessories
    Retailer with a core offering in accessories that supplement and complement fashion. Download Form 
  3. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Food & Grocery
    Retailer chain providing fresh food, packaged food and grocery / FMCG product lines. Download Form 
  4. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Foodservice
    Retailer with a chain of foodservice outlets (includes cafes, restaurants, bars etc). Download Form 
  5. Most Admired Retailer of the Year – Consumer Electronics
    Retailer of consumer electronics/ IT equipment and accessories. Download Form 
  6. Most Admired Retailer of the Year – Leisure

  9. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Health & Beauty Services

  15. Most Admired Retailer of the Year: Hypermarket
    Retailer with minimum retail area of 25,000 sq ft per store offering a range of consumer products including food & grocery, FMCG, fashion and general merchandise. Food/ FMCG form a large chunk of sales.

    Retailer offering merchandise at discounted prices (on MRPs). Download Form 
  17. Most Admired Rural Retailer of the Year
    Retailer with stores located in tier IV and rural India offering a range of consumer products including food & grocery, FMCG, general merchandise, farming supplies and equipment. Download Form 
  18. Most Admired Retail Launch of the Year
    A high-publicity retailer launch between April 2011 and July 2012, which has drawn significant media and consumer attention. Download Form 
  19. Most Admired Retail Innovation of the Year
    A unique retail idea, strategy or innovation enhancing or differentiating merchandise/ service mix and/or in-store presentation or promotion. Must have been unveiled during April 2011 and July 2012. Download Form 
  20. Most Admired Retail Group or Organisation of the Year
    A business group with more than one retail company and/ or subsidiary which operate multiple retail formats across verticals and channels, and one whose overall growth in the year is based on performance on all fronts.

  • Award categories and titles are subject to change
  • For jury consideration, an award category must have at least 4 valid nominations. Going forward, if there are fewer than 4 possible nominees in any category, that category will be dropped from final awards’ list.
